Technical Analysts Windows Technology Support – 6 jobs
Location: Calgary, AB
Job Type: 6 months to 1 year contract to permanent
The candidates must have a technical education in Computer Science Technology and at least 3 – 5 years previous technical support experience preferably at 2nd level to qualify.
Requirements include
Solid knowledge of the Windows desktops, Windows Servers and POS devices combined with experience supporting various hardware and software in a networked environment.
Knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange is preferred.
Previous experience using call tracking systems such as Heat, Remedy etc.
Experience with wireless technologies and an understanding of ITIL best practices is considered an asset.
Provide support for all software and hardware problems via telephone, e-mail and ‘walk-in’.
Includes logging, monitoring, resolving and escalating calls using the incident logging systems such as Heat, Remedy etc.
Providing expertise in MS operating systems, all corporate applications including Web-based applications and VPN services,
Troubleshooting hardware and software problems, connecting remotely with field service technicians to resolve issues as well as maintaining network applications
Assists with server management using Windows administrative tools and PC connectivity tools.
