  • Properly configuring NetIQ to achieve highest application availability and performance
  • Investigate NetIQ application issues and determine problem source.
  • Communicate and coordinate with product vendor for bug fixes and enhancement requests.
  • Install, configure and test NetIQ Agents on targeted monitored servers
  • Being NetIQ SME backup and react proactively to minimize any client impact
  • Execute Application patches and upgrades, verify data collection and completion of backups.
  • Produce and maintain detailed technical documentation for assigned tasks and projects.
  • Install/Upgrade NetIQ QDB, Management Server, Agent, Modules, Control Center Console, Operator Console
  • Create/manage Rules based on Custom Properties, create/manage Management Group based on Rules, create/manage Policies based on Management Groups
  • Develop new knowledge scripts (VB scripts on Windows, Perl on UNIX) when needed.
  • Serve as a deeply skilled and knowledgeable resource within the NetIQ technology area.
  • Review Health Monitor logs and make recommendations for proactive management.








  • 3-5 years’ experience hands-on experience with NetIQ
  • Familiar with NetIQ AppManager system architecture. (QDB, Management Server, Managed Client). 
  • Familiar with how NetIQ knowledge scripts work. Configure/deploy knowledge script based on monitoring request.
  • Understand NetIQ Events and configure/deploy Action scripts.   
  • Understand Windows-RT module of NetIQ. Able to use Win-RT Designer to configure/update Win-RT scripts
  • Familiar with Windows Servers Operating Systems, MS SQL Server, SQL language which is necessary for NetIQ troubleshooting
  • Ability to use Unix/Linux command line to read log files and run packet captures
  • Experience using Putty, WinSCP, Windows Server, SQL Server, SQL Language, VBScript, Perl

6 month contract assignment
