EMC NETWORKWORKER SUPPORT ENGINEER – CONTRACT TO PERMANENT
LOCATION: Greater Toronto Area, Ontario

NetWorker Technical Support Engineer
- Provide phone and remote control support for clients with EMC NetWorker environments
- Attend to high severity cases ranging from small to enterprise size business facing situations where data had become unavailable or lost
- Establish first level of technical contact with customers, gathered information about their infrastructure, documented problems within ticketing system
- Configure core NetWorker from install to production-ready for environments of all sizes
- Ensure the successful backup and recovery of customer data, including disaster recovery
- Responsible for assisting customers with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of all NetWorker devices; NDMP, ACSLS, EDL/CDL, Data Domain
- Responsible for evaluating OS parameters to ensure consistency with NetWorker requirements
- Responsible for preparing and executing NetWorker server migrations and upgrades
- Assist with the design, improvement, and capacity planning of backup environments
- Perform benchmark tests for NetWorker server and device performance analysis
- Assist with technical issues and acted as liaison to Subject Matter Experts and Developers
