Support:  Looking for a Citrix Administrator, with a preferably with Citrix and VMware Certifications. The candidate that will be responsible for designing, developing and remotely supporting Windows/Citrix systems to advance business goals. This candidate will be involved in all aspects of Citrix design, performance-monitoring, tuning, scripting, upgrades and maintenance of all production Citrix systems. This candidate will be working on a team that supports applications, hardware, operating systems and network infrastructure, provides ongoing administration and support of a large Citrix Farms. Works with remote support team, vendors, end users, Customer Service Representatives and other technical staff to resolve Citrix application issues.  Able to support large Citrix Farms for 50+ Servers preferred. Must be available on-call and for after-hours maintenance changes from time to time and act as a point of escalation for technical problems encountered at this site.

Responsibilities 

-          Enterprise level Citrix experience and expertise

-          Extensive experience with Citrix design is mandatory

-          The ability to identify, troubleshoot, resolve and communicate issues that affect Citrix and Windows related products

-          Windows Engineer that has a strong background in Citrix  Metaframe/Presentation Server architecture, design, and implementation

-          Understanding of Storage Area Networks

-          Familiar with MS Windows Server and AD technologies

-          Experience in supporting Citrix Metaframe/PS infrastructure and related applications

-          Excellent computer hardware troubleshooting and support skills required

-          Proficiency with storage solutions required

-          Proficiency with VMware and VSphere4 required

-          Proficiency with Microsoft Systems Center required

-          Proficiency with TCP/IP protocol required

-          Proficiency with LAN/WAN/WLANs required

-          Proficiency with MS Exchange required

-          Proficiency with Citrix Xenapp, thin client architecture desirable

-          Knowledge of security products including firewalls, IDS/IPS, virus/malware protection, internet filtering, encryption desirable

-          Knowledge of SQL Server administration desirable

-          Knowledge of Fault Tolerant Architecture Design and Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Plans desirable

-          Participate in the Customer Out-of-hours (OOH) support process to deal with Customer defined high priority incidents occurring outside of normal business hours.

-          Update and maintain the allocated Incident / Problem / Change control tickets in line with the Customer processes and procedures.

-          Maintain an awareness of dependencies off all infrastructure.

-          Create, maintain, and update infrastructure documentation.

-          Ensure all Work Carried out is in accordance with the Customer and SUPPLIER H&S, Security, Privacy, and code of conduct regulations (in the case of Customer regulations, provided in writing to Supplier and as amended from time to time)

 Knowledge

Demonstrating an extensive knowledge level with respect to:

  • Information Technology Degree or Diploma or equivalent education / work experience required
  • Citrix certifications desirable with at least 3+ years of experience.
  • Industry standard technical certifications, e.g. MCSE or equivalent required, SNIA and VCP desirable

  • Design and documentation skills related to a Citrix
  • Write technical documents
